The person behind your sourcing · A founder who handles your project personally
I'm Jimmy Xiong — a China-based sourcing professional who left a trading company career to build something more honest: a founder-led agency where every client gets my full attention, not a junior assistant's.
What you actually get with a founder-led sourcing agency
Most sourcing agencies sell scale. I offer something different: the person who knows your project best is also the one making every call.
In larger agencies, your account manager changes, your brief gets summarized down a chain, and things get lost in translation. With me, the person you emailed on day one is the same person inspecting your goods before shipment. There's no intermediary layer between you and the actual work.
My professional background is in industrial machinery and medical & healthcare equipment — two sectors where precision, certifications, and compliance matter enormously. I know the right questions to ask factories in these categories, which certifications are genuinely verifiable, and where the common failure points are.
My pricing is clear upfront. I charge a service fee for sourcing and project management — I do not take hidden commissions from factories or inflate supplier quotes. This means my incentive is always aligned with yours: find the best supplier at the right price, not the supplier who pays me the most.
Working with European and North American clients has shaped how I communicate and what I prioritize. I understand that you care about CE and FDA compliance, accurate lead times, properly documented quality checks, and being told the truth when something goes wrong — not a polished cover story delivered after the fact.
Being based in Shenzhen's Bao'an District puts me at the center of one of the world's most connected manufacturing ecosystems — with quick access to industrial clusters, medical device manufacturers, and major logistics hubs. Factory visits are something I can arrange on short notice, not a logistical production.
What a typical project looks like
No jargon, no unnecessary complexity. Here's what working together actually involves, from first contact to delivery.
Tell me what you need — product specs, target price, quantity, required certifications, delivery timeline. The more detail, the better — but I can also work with rough requirements and help you sharpen them before we begin.
I identify candidates from my existing network and targeted market research, then evaluate each on production capability, certification status, pricing, and track record. You receive a clear comparison with my honest recommendation — including any concerns I have about specific suppliers.
You make the final call. I handle negotiations, sample requests, and any factory audit you want. Nothing moves forward without your explicit sign-off at each stage.
Throughout production I monitor progress, conduct mid-production and pre-shipment inspections, and send you photo and video documentation. If something isn't right, I tell you immediately and push back on the factory — not after the goods have already shipped.
What I won't promise you
Most sourcing agents will say whatever it takes to win your business. I'd rather be upfront about what I can and can't do.
My strongest areas are industrial machinery and medical/healthcare equipment. If you need to source fast fashion, mass-market consumer electronics, or highly specialized chemicals, I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit — and if not, I'll point you toward someone better suited.
Manufacturing involves real uncertainty. What I can guarantee is that I will catch problems early, communicate them to you immediately, and fight hard to get them resolved before they cost you money. You will never be the last to know when something goes wrong.
